Thank you all who are praying. We have felt your prayers! Don’t stop. Tomorrow is going to be beyond crazy. As if tomorrow wasn’t already crazy enough, we’ve added more to it today! If you’ve not read about our day tomorrow, you can do that in my previous post. We will be in medical appointments by 7 am CT. We hope to get a small break before it is time to arrive for the sleep study!
Today we didn’t have to get to the hospital until a bit after lunch, so we had time to eat healthy breakfast and have a slow morning. I used the kitchen here and scrambled us some eggs! Yummy! I was going to make an omelet, but it turned into scrambled eggs! They ate fine!
Thank goodness that there was a therapy dog here today. That was just what Chloe needed. Chloe and Toby made good friends and spent a lot of time together this morning.
This afternoon was full of an appointment with an endocrinologist. However, outside the hospital is a park, so we went early enough to have a little swinging time. The weather was gorgeous today.
The endocrinologist was very thorough. There are some hormone issues they are evaluating. There is a possibility that some of the hormone issues could be playing a role in her headaches. Lab work will be done first thing in the morning. Thyroid concerns are also being addressed with bloodwork as well. After we get those results, we will know more. However, the doctor made us sad. Chloe and I both felt sorry for her.
She was such a kind compassionate doctor, and she wanted so bad to fix the extreme fatigue issue Chloe has been having. Unfortunately, she believes it is a combination of things causing the fatigue and those issues can’t be taken away, or even adequately dealt with. So what Chloe is left with is extreme fatigue. We left feeling like this is most likely part of her life! However, we will address a few things tomorrow with MDA Clinic doctors and on Thursday with another specialist. Unfortunately, the endocrinologist here confirmed this is a lifelong issue we are dealing with. Of course, the easy thing would be for Chloe to have hypothyroidism and then that would be an easy fix. However, the doctor did not think that was going to be the case. However, she did say, that was our best option! So when hypothyroidism is your best option…the options kind of stink in my opinion.
Chloe had to take migraine meds late this afternoon. And she has had two naps.
My neck is a total mess. Not only does it hurt where the lymph nodes are, but I also slept wrong last night, so I have a small crick in my neck as well. Kinda stinks! I’m sure that is a result of stress! But my emotions are not on edge. As a matter of fact, I’ve even laughed a couple of times today with Chloe. That’s good for both of us! Typically, I have emotions after a week such as this is over. My emotions will come next week after all is said and done.
I think the family is doing well. My father-in-law is doing some much needed odd and end jobs around the house! So thankful for that. My mother-in-law is spoiling her son to the best of her ability I think. Krisann also seems to be doing well! She called me once because she was mad and once because she just wanted to talk to me. Otherwise, it has been quiet which means she is doing well. I haven’t spoken to Conner, but I heard tonight that guy pulled off a 4.0 this semester in college. I’M SO PROUD OF HIM!
We are off to bed tonight. Our busy day starts early. I apologize in advance for grammatical errors and typos. This post has not been revised, proofread, and edited! I just don’t have time for that this week!
